Each SrDA POP data modem is K56flex/V.90 capable and will automatically negotiate lower speeds with earlier version V.34+, V.34, V.32 and V.22 modems. An online monitor (shown above) is available for system administrators which provides very detailed information on the operation of each modem including specific measurement of signal quality (EQM), the actual receive and transmit speeds, error statistics and call states. It also provides a disconnect code which can inform the administrator why the previous call disconnected or was unable to connect. This monitor feature is exclusive to SrDA POP and is not available from any competitive offering. SrDA POP is shipped with a software driver that is as easy to install as any LAN adapter card. It only requires a single interrupt assignment for up to 24 lines.

Additional wide area bandwidth can be obtained by using MultiLink PPP. Two or more lines can be bundled into a single logical line. This feature can provide an effective private line backup capability for remote office servers when needed or can be used by any user who wants increased data speeds for remote access.
