Select the Hardware tab of the System Properties Panel and then select Hardware Wizard. You can get the System Properties panel by right clicking the My Computer desktop icon. |

Select Finish. Next panel should appear. The installation installs SrDAPOP using the factory default settings for IO base address and IRQ. In this case, we need to change the IRQ setting from IRQ5 to IRQ 11. |
Change SrDAPOP resource assignments

This time select Device Manager and get the next panel. |
Device Manager - retrieve SrDAPOP Properties
|
|
Expand Network Adapters and select SrDAPOP. Then right click SrDAPOP and select Properties. The next panel should appear. |
SrDAPOP CoINSTALLER initial message

Read this message and select OK |
|

Select the Resources tab next and view the next panel. |
Select Interrupt Request Resource Setting
|
|
Select Interrupt Request as shown and then select Change Setting. The next panel should appear. |
Change Interrupt Request value.

Change the IRQ value from 5 to 11 as shown here. Make sure the SrDAPOP card is strapped for IRQ 11 before the next reboot. Select OK. |

Observe the changed value. Select OK. The next panel should appear. |
SrDAPOP CoInstaller Post Change message
|

Select No to this question. Note multiple cards can be installed with the same IRQ and base IO address if desired. This panel and the next are designed to accommodate this feature. |
Resource changes complete and Address Ranges are synchronized
|
|
This screen is informational. Select OK. |
Restart the computer to complete resource change.
|
|
Select Yes and reboot. Remember to change jumper settings if the IRQ or Base IO address is changed from the factory defaults. |
Run SrDALog real time monitor after reboot.
|
|
After reboot, enter SrDALOG in a Run panel as shown. You can also use Task Manager to add a Desktop icon if desired. |
Setting SrDALog console window size
|
|
Right click the upper left icon the SrDALog window and then select Properties as shown. We are going to resize the console window to fit a four line SrDAPOP installation. |
Layout values for 4 line SrDAPOP
|
|
Select the Layout tab as shown. Enter the values as shown in the Screen Buffer and Window Size. Select OK. |

Select Save Properties as shown and then select OK. The SrDALog panel should appear sized perfectly for a 4 line SrDAPOP installation. |

Select the A key from the keyboard with focus on this panel. The next panel should appear. |

SrDALog is talking to the SrDAPOP driver and is showing real time operational data. |
Network and Dial-up Connections Make New Connection

Select Make New Connection as shown. The next panel should appear. |

Make New Connection for Dial-out
|

Select Make New Connection as shown and get the next panel. |

Select a SrDAPOP port as shown. Select Next > |

Enter telephone number. The number dials 9 first to get an outside line on a PBX before the telephone number. The V42+ option requests V.42bis compression on the connection. If you are dialing another Microsoft endpoint, leave this option off. The complete number must be entered. Do not check off Use dialing rules. Select Next > |

Select as shown or desired. Select Next > |

Select Next > for now. Refer to the System Help file for instructions on how to enable Internet Connection Sharing if this feature is desired. |
Name the phone book connection
|

Name the phone book entry as shown. Select Finish. |
Connect (Dial-out) on the new phone book entry
|
|
Enter User name and password as shown on this panel. Select the Dial button. |

Enter "?" on the keyboard to get a description of each of the SrDALog data fields. |

RAS pops up this panel at first. Check off as shown and you will not see it again. Select OK. |

SrDALog shows real time status of the connection. Dial out lines are selected using available lines from the bottom of the line stack first. This allows incoming calls to connect from the top of the stack. |
Getting Status of Dialed-up connection

Right click and select Status as shown. |

This is the Details of the dialed out connection. Select the General tab. |
